What Sovereign One is

Sovereign One is Connexxia's five-layer sovereign infrastructure stack. Layer 1 is the substrate: ThinkOn, a Canadian-owned and Canadian-operated cloud. Layer 2 is components: CanForge git and CI/CD, Memgraph graph database, and Postgres. Layer 3 is inference, provided in Canada through Cohere. Layer 4 is business applications, and layer 5 is autonomous agents that operate across all of it. Every layer runs on Canadian soil, under Canadian law — no U.S. region, no U.S. edge, no U.S. jurisdiction anywhere in the chain.

Why the whole stack matters

A "Canadian region" on a U.S. cloud is still subject to U.S. law: the CLOUD Act of 2018 lets American authorities compel U.S. providers to produce data regardless of where it is stored. Sovereignty by construction means the provider itself is Canadian — which is why Connexxia builds on ThinkOn rather than on a hyperscaler's Canadian datacentre, and why PIPEDA alignment is a property of the architecture, not a policy document.
