What this covers
This policy covers connexxia.ca, this website. Connexxia Inc. is the organization accountable for the personal information described here. The Connexxia platform at connexxia.ai and the Sovereign One stack at connexxia.io are separate services with their own agreements — this page does not govern them.
What we collect
There are no forms on this site, so there is nothing here that asks you to type your name. What exists is the small amount of information any web server sees, plus one optional analytics tool:
- Request logs — your IP address, browser user agent, the page you asked for, and the time. Our hosting provider records these to serve pages and to spot abuse.
- A language cookie — NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers whether you are reading in English or French. It holds nothing but a two-letter language code and is set on your first visit.
- Your analytics choice — stored in your browser's local storage under cnx-consent. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- Analytics, only if you allow it — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, recording page views and clicks on a handful of links. None of it loads until you press Allow analytics.
- The booking calendar — when the contact page shows an embedded calendar, that calendar is run by a third party and receives whatever you enter to book a meeting.
- Whatever you send us — if you email or call, we have your message and the address or number you sent it from.
What we don't do
No advertising or retargeting pixels. No cross-site tracking. No profiling and no automated decisions about you. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we never will — a company arguing for Canadian data sovereignty has no business doing otherwise.
Why we collect it
Request logs keep the site running and let us see when something is broken or under attack. The language cookie shows you the site in the language you picked. Analytics, if you allow it, tells us roughly which pages people find useful so we can write better ones. If you contact us, we use what you sent to reply.
Your choice, and changing your mind
Analytics runs on consent, not on assumption. Until you choose, nothing analytics-related loads at all — declining leaves you exactly where you started. Your choice lives on your device, which means clearing your browser data resets it, and choosing again on another device is a separate decision. You can change it here at any time:

Where this is processed
Plainly: not yet in Canada. This site is currently served by Vercel, an American company, from servers in the United States, so request logs — including IP addresses — are processed there. The pages themselves are static and carry nothing about you beyond the request itself. This is an interim arrangement while we finish moving to Canadian hosting on the Sovereign One stack, and we will update this page when that is done. Email you send us is handled by Google Workspace.
Who else is involved
Vercel hosts the site and holds the request logs. Google provides Tag Manager and Analytics, which run only with your consent, and Google Workspace carries our email. When a booking calendar is embedded on the contact page, its operator receives what you enter there. Each of these is a service provider acting on our behalf or under its own agreement with you — none of them receive personal information from us for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Request logs are kept briefly by our host on its standard retention schedule and are not copied into any system of ours. Analytics data, where you have allowed it, is retained by Google under the retention period set on the account. Email and booking correspondence we keep for as long as the business relationship needs it, and then no longer.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act — and, in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector — you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to us and we will answer. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you are in Quebec.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. Material changes — a new processor, a new category of information, a move of where data is processed — will be called out rather than slipped in.
